Site Coordinators, School-Based Programs
A Site Coordinator manages a THINK Together after school program at a single public school in which usually at least 50% of the children come from low-income households. Our after school programs typically serve children for three to four hours per day, from the time school closes until about 6 p.m., but the Site Coordinator is a full-time employee. A Site Coordinator supervises 100-200 students (typically 100) and a staff of Program Leaders who work directly with those students in groups of about 20 students per staff member.
Site Coordinators:
- Plan the activities Program Leaders will do with students;
- Work with teachers, principals and other instructional-day staff to align after school activities with the students’ instructional day programs;
- Supervise and coach staff and do some site-based training;
- Work with parents; and
- Handle a variety of reporting tasks and other managerial duties.
They are supported in this work by THINK Together Quality Assurance Trainers/Coaches and by training, curriculum, and other support provided by THINK Together's home office staff.
Minimum Educational Requirement: Completion of a bachelor’s degree.
Additional Requirements: Live Scan, TB Test
Minimum Experience: Some combination of relevant experience, such as work with children, management experience, and experience in educational settings. Ability to speak Spanish highly desirable but not required.
Salary: $32,500 - $36,000, depending on education, experience and site assignment.
