Our broad base of operation, which now spans six California counties, continues to grow as school districts recognize that effective afterschool programs can be a powerful asset in our collective efforts to close the state’s persistent achievement gap. Extended learning time provides an ideal venue for the development of 21st Century skills through project-based learning, group work and reciprocal teaching, and our sizable infrastructure offers an impressive platform that can be leveraged to launch a wide variety of educational initiatives.
Despite our statewide scale, however, we engage communities at the local level through Leadership Councils focused on building grassroots support through volunteerism, philanthropy and in-kind services. As an organization, we have established ourselves as a reliable partner and advocate for youth in every community we serve.
