Welcome to the Riverside County web page, where we are serving nearly 12,000 students per day at 57 school sites. Our programs support students in kindergarten through 12th grade with academically oriented extended learning time programs, small group tutoring, and summer programs employing more than 600 employees and 1,700 volunteers. From the Riverside County office, we serve the Moreno Valley, Val Verde, Lake Elsinore, Temecula Valley and Oceanside Unified School Districts as well as our newest district in the county, Perris Union High School District. While Jurupa Unified is in Riverside County, it is closer to our office in San Bernardino County and is therefore served by that office. In our county, we offer extended learning after school as well as tutoring programs. On this page you will get to know our team, learn about job openings and stay on top of what’s happening with the schools and students we serve. History

Riverside County is our newest County office and was formed with the addition of the Moreno Valley Unified and Val Verde Unified school districts in 2011. We are expecting significant growth in 2012 and will share that information as it becomes available.

Our Team

Riverside County is served by 12 full time staff members, including a general manager, 52 site coordinators and nearly 300 part-time program leaders. As our footprint in the county grows, so will our staffing ranks.

Adriana Garcia Kingston, General Manager, also oversees students and partners in San Diego County. She previously served as assistant general manager of the Inland Empire Region. Adriana has experience as a bilingual classroom teacher in the Corona-Norco Unified School District and Val Verde Unified School District; and managed the Family Literacy training program at her school site in the Val Verde District. Kingston was one of Sylvan Learning Center’s 1999 Kid’s Choice Teachers of the Year. Kingston graduated from the University of California, Riverside, with a bachelor’s in Social Relations and holds a teaching credential from Chapman University. She also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Chapman University. Adriana is a former ballet dancer and understands the importance of the arts in education.
