THINK Together students from El Monte’s Madrid Middle School have some solar fun in the sun

THINK Together students from Madrid Middle School in El Monte had a fun and enriching six-week long program that involved learning about alternative energy and building a solar car as well as a solar oven.
They got to show off their cool solar cars during a lunchtime race.
Several students stopped by to see what was going on.
While the students were having fun racing their solar cars, their s’mores were cooking in their solar ovens.
This was all made possible by CTE-Teach Rio Hondo. Thank you to all the staff who made this an awesome and impactful program for our middle school students.

Very proud of our students! Big “THUMBS-UP” to our staff support, but a bigger “THUMBS-UP” to CTE-TEACH Volunteers and Coordinator for their effectiveness in the classroom and in this culminating event. Great job guys! GO BULLDOGS!!
WOW…I’m really impressed!!!
Think Together, you have brought to Madrid Students opportunities that if not for your program, they would probably never experience. Proud to have you at our school!
