Valley High THINK Together Students Take Top Honors

The Swaggas at ValleyTHINK

The Swaggas, a hip-hop dance group that formed as part of the THINK Together after-school program at Valley High School in Santa Ana (ValleyTHINK), took first place among the Dance group and the Overall Talent award at the school’s annual talent show. The group, which formed last year, is lead by dancers Yismar Toribio, Jasmine Cortez, Viridiana Brito and Bianca Martinez. The Swaggas had been practicing for months with the help of their dance instructor and THINK Together volunteer Mary Martin, and it paid off when they beat out more than ten other groups in the musical performance competition which was held Friday, February 18, 2011.
